Now that your pool is complete, the plasterers are gone and the water hose has been placed with the water running, what do you do? Well, you best better have a reputable pool service company on hand to get your equipment running unless you know just what to do. Actually it isn't that hard. First lets see what kind of finished you had placed in your pool.
EXPOSED AGGREGATE
If you had pebble exposed aggregate finish, otherwise known as "Pebble Tec", you must wait another day before you can add water. What has to be done is a light acid wash to remove a thin haze layer of cement left by the finishers. Once that has been taken care of, you may start the water. The rest is as easy as setting your clocks and starting your pumps. Hopefully your plumber has explained the various functions of your valves and how to read your filter. Either your plumber or your electrician should be able to explain your heater, if you have a spa.
